Half-Life is an editorial publication. We collect only what is necessary to run the site and the newsletter.

What we collect

Newsletter signups. If you submit your email address through the newsletter form, we store that email address to send you the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and performance purposes. These logs are retained for a limited period.

Analytics. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics provider to understand aggregate traffic patterns. We do not sell reader data.

What we do not do

We do not require accounts to read articles. We do not paywall sources. We do not share newsletter subscriber lists with third parties.

Advertising

Some pages display ad placements. Placeholder ad units are shown during the preview phase of this publication. When live ad inventory is served, additional disclosures will appear here.
